Children's Summer Reading Program
"Destination Jungle"
Your children will be going into the deepest depths of Africa on some very dangerous missions this summer. It will be a summer of safari adventures, wild animal stories and a trip to the zoo.
Programs will run from July 5th to August 19th
Sign up for games, crafts, reading activities, guest speakers and special events
Also sign up for our Jungle Adventure Reading Game happening every day at the library! Earn 'Reading Rand' and enter them to win weekly prizes. There will also be grand prizes that will be drawn at our end of program picnic on August 20th!

Jungle Adventure

Ages 4-5 years
Come & explore the mystery of the jungle. We’ll learn wonderful jungle rhymes, hear great stories of ferocious animals & wander the jungle

Baby Baboons
Baby Baboons
Sept.14 to Oct.19, 10:15 - 10:45 am
For crawlers, 5 to 12 months, with a parent/caregiver.
Baby baboons & crawlers, sitting on mama baboon’s lap, will be introduced to rhymes, songs, stories & finger games. Plus they will meet other baby baboons!
African Safari
Oct.26 to Nov.30, 10:15 - 10:45 am
Ages 3 years
We will be going on some ’dangerous missions’ and you must be at least 3 years old & ready for an independent adventure from your parents. Songs, stories, puppets and flannel board stories.
Family Storytime
Session 1, Sept.14 to Oct.19, 1:30 - 2:15 pm
Session 2, Oct.26 to Nov.30, 1:30 - 2:15 pm
For all ages.
Share this time with your baby sister or brother learning silly songs, finger plays and listening to stories. This program is for families with more than one child attending.

Wild About Me

For walkers to 18 months with a parent/caregiver.
Numbers, colours, pets and the alphabet, it’s all about me: stories galore, puppets, finger plays and flannel board stories.
Mother Goose for New Canadians

For ages birth to 5 years
New Canadians, this program is for you and your
children! You will learn English rhymes and listen to
